Quotations

The Quotations function is an indispensable tool in ETO, MTO and project manufacturing environments, reducing client quote turnaround times through its structured design, ease of use and capability to copy from existing quotes. Central to the Quotations module, it provides an ordered approach to formulating multiple offers to sell products and services, and is fully integrated to the rest of SYSPRO, thereby ensuring the currency of associated data and the integrity of calculations.

Its integrated nature provides the capability to automatically formulate quote lines from detailed SYSPRO estimates, or a configuration of items from SYSPRO's Product Configurator; as well as to derive realistic delivery dates and specify mark-ups to existing material and labor costs; fixed prices may also be entered. Quote lines for up to five offers per line may be entered and printed for stocked products, non-stocked items and services, and freight and miscellaneous charges, while the facility to record quote comments and internal notes is also catered for.

When a quote is accepted, the information entered in the quotations function provides the basis for the seamless conversion to operational actions such as sales orders, jobs and purchase orders. If a quote is rejected or cancelled, reason codes can be entered to provide quote analysis reporting.
