Tailoring SYSPRO

SYSPRO's fluid interface design and power-tailored solutions provide a greater level of personalization, giving you control over the look and feel of the user interface, and the ability to incorporate your own data and special ways of processing this data into SYSPRO. The result is a highly configurable system designed to adapt and change as your requirements evolve.

SYSPRO can be customized at many levels, ranging from simple personalization through translating field descriptions to writing your own user interface and work flow.

Tailoring SYSPRO at its simplest level provides options that allow you to manipulate your screen real estate to match your needs. You are able to build your own menus and decide on themes for queries that display within the SYSPRO browser. In addition, you can set preferences against programs that specify how much information is displayed.

In many places within SYSPRO where the data capture or queries are performed the operator uses forms. These allow the operator to customize the forms by removing unwanted fields, add additional standard fields, add custom fields and even interact with other fields on other forms. Properties can be set against these fields to highlight when certain criteria are met, provide buttons to launch other applications, displayed tool tips and additional context sensitive information can be displayed using quick views. In addition, the forms allow the addition of VBScript to automate functions, retrieve additional information from SYSPRO or other applications using COM and Web services based on events that are fired on specific conditions.

The language translation facility allows any caption or phrase used anywhere in the product to be translated either to another language or to be changed according to industry terminology. This is easily accomplished by the administrator using the translate editor facility.
